How many Ps of Marketing ????

It recently happened in one of my class that professor asked how many Ps are there in marketing mix and everybody said 4 some 7 and the professor said we have 9.

Like there are nine things Marketers ponder and brainstorm on before talking about any marketing strategy for a product.

And i would like to share them with you but wait i have already posted about so i am not gonna repeat those but will write about the rest of five i forget to mention or learned recently...

The concept of the "9 Ps of Marketing" expands on the traditional 4 Ps of marketing—Product, Price, Place, and Promotion—to include additional elements that are crucial in today's complex marketing environment. These 9 Ps provide a more comprehensive framework for developing and executing effective marketing strategies.

5. People

   - Definition: The employees, salespeople, and customer service teams who interact with customers.

   - Considerations: Recruitment, training, customer service quality, and the overall customer experience. The people involved in the marketing process significantly impact customer perceptions and satisfaction.

 6. Process

   - Definition: The procedures, mechanisms, and flow of activities by which services are consumed.

   - Considerations: Service delivery processes, efficiency, customer feedback loops, and how these processes are perceived by customers. Streamlined processes can enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

 7. Physical Evidence

   - Definition: The tangible elements that allow customers to evaluate the product or service before purchase.

   - Considerations: Store layout, website design, brochures, packaging, and the physical environment where the service is delivered. Physical evidence builds trust and helps differentiate the brand.

8. Positioning

   - Definition: The way a product is perceived in the minds of consumers relative to competing products.

   - Considerations: Brand image, unique selling proposition (USP), and the value proposition. Effective positioning helps establish a strong brand identity and makes the product stand out in the marketplace.

9. Payments

   - Definition: The methods and processes by which customers pay for the products.

   - Considerations: Payment options (credit, debit, mobile payments, financing), payment gateways, security, convenience, and how payment methods can influence purchasing decisions.

So, these 9Ps of Marketing offers an holistic view for framing marketing strategies which would helps the Marketers to understand different elements of Product and how they can achieve the best results in the today's competitive landscape.
